The way of Natural Meditation is:
"mindfully and naturally to recall abstractly"
A funny-sounding phrase, perhaps, but then, its acronym is: M.A.N.T.R.A.
We recall the mantra,
rather than repeat it, sound it, think it, hammer it.
| We recall the mantra abstractly rather than with sharp focus, clarity or
rhythm, allowing the mind to become more abstract and subtle.
| We do this mindfully
because it rides on our intention to meditate. Even though we will forget and
wander, we return to the mantra as soon as we recall our intention.
| We do this naturally
because we do not strive to make the meditation
our own project; we let it be nature's. | |
